Al Wasl loses the derby

Al Wasl suffered a three-goal loss without a response to Shabab Al-Ahli in the Dubai derby, this evening, Friday, in the match that was held between them at Rashid Stadium, in the 25th round of the Arabian Gulf League.

The match began calm and equal throughout the first 10 minutes, then the offensive attempts began and the initiative was for Shabab Al-Ahli in the 12th minute when Youssef Jaber opened the match with a goal from a penalty kick, which the referee calculated after the goalkeeper Hamid Abdullah blocked the striker of the owners of the land.

Al Wasl tried to return in the meeting, and he made a lot of his attempts, but they were not serious enough, and in the 30th minute, the owners of the land add the second goal by Carlos Eduardo, who took advantage of a mistake in the defensive positioning of the Emperor, before the Leopards received the third goal by Suhail, in the minute 38, after a quick counterattack, the Emperor's defense did not succeed in stopping it, and in the 41st minute, the team's defender, Abdul Rahman Saleh, got the second yellow card, after interfering with the striker of Shabab Al-Ahli, to complete Al-Wasl, the first half with 10 players.

At the start of the second half, coach Oder Hillman made a substitution by entering the young Brazilian striker Luis Henrique, at the expense of his compatriot Joao Figredo, to increase the attacking effectiveness of the team.

Al-Wasl did not succeed in forming any real danger to Shabab Al-Ahli’s goal, and Hillman made 4 consecutive changes in the team in the hope of reducing the difference and possibly adjusting the score, by entering Khamis Nasser, instead of Hassan Ibrahim in the 81st minute, Muhammad Al-Akbari and Shehab Ahmed, at the expense Ali Saleh and Fabio de Lima, in the 89th minute, followed by a fifth change in the 92nd minute, with Fares Khalil entering instead of Ronaldo Mendes, to end the match with Al Wasl losing to Shabab Al-Ahli with three goals without a response.
