In line with its commitment to enhancing the legal knowledge of its administrative staff and developing their expertise regarding the updated regulations governing the relationships between clubs and players—which contributes to institutional development within the club and keeping up with the latest legal developments in football Al Wasl Club participated in the Legal Workshop organized by the UAE Football Association in cooperation with FIFA and the AFC.
The workshop was held over two days (April 23–24) at the Marriott Al Jaddaf Hotel in Dubai.
Al Wasl was represented by:Mohamed Alaa Barakat – Legal officer of the Club ,Ahmed Burhan Tatan Pro-Football in-charge and Mohamed Najm – Executive Director’s Secretary.
The workshop focused on discussing the challenges faced by clubs when using the FIFA Clearing House platforms and ways to resolve them. It also provided legal advice to club lawyers and legal advisors regarding litigation procedures before the relevant committees of FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
At the conclusion, a discussion was held on the amendments made by the Legal Department of the UAEFA, along with the proposals submitted by clubs in the recent period, which were reviewed and are being prepared to be presented to the Board of Directors and then the General Assembly of the Association.
