Al Wasl qualified for the quarter-finals of the President's Cup after defeating Al Wahda with a score of  3-1 at Zabeel Stadium.

Majid Surour opened the scoring for Al Wasl in the 10th minute with a powerful low shot from outside the penalty area that caught the Al Wahda goalkeeper off guard. Nicolás Giménez added the second goal for the "Emperor" with shot from outside the box, following a clearance by Al Wahda’s defense, in the fifth minute of added time of the first half.

In the second half, the "Golden Boy" Ali Saleh extended Al Wasl’s lead with a third goal in the 48th minute. After a corner kick for Al Wasl was cleared by Al Wahda’s defense, he struck a powerful shot into the net.

Omar Khrbin scored the visitors' goal in the 70th minute from a penalty kick.
