At Zabeel Stadium, Al Wasl's first football team conducted its final training session in preparation for their match against Baniyas in the 12th round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Ahead of the game, head coach Milos Milojevic spoke about the team's readiness, stating: "This will be our third match against Baniyas in a short period, and it won’t be easy."
He continued: "Our last game against them ended in a draw, but they have since changed their coach, someone we know well who brings quality. Therefore, we need to stay focused from the first minute, play strongly, move the ball quickly, and remain well-organized."
Regarding Baniyas's appointment of coach Daniel Isaila, Milos noted that a coaching change often brings a reaction, injecting fresh energy and momentum into a team, potentially giving them an advantage.
He added: "Despite this, I am confident in our team’s performance. If we play professionally and as a unified team, we can compete against and defeat any opponent. We hope to achieve that against Baniyas."
Player Caio Canedo also shared his thoughts on the upcoming match against Baniyas, emphasizing that it would not be easy, especially away from home. He acknowledged that Baniyas is always a tough opponent but expressed the team’s desire to maintain their good form after their recent big win against Al Orooba, aiming to climb higher in the league standings.
