In the second leg of the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League Elite for the 2024-2025 season, Al Wasl lost to Al Sadd with a score of 3-1 in the match that brought the two teams together at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, thus exiting the tournament.
Fábio Lima opened the scoring for Al Wasl in the 10th minute, after following up a cross played by Alexis Perez, placing the ball into the bottom left corner of Al Sadd’s goal.

In the 26th minute, Mostafa Meshaal equalized for Al Sadd.
Youcef Atal scored Al Sadd’s second goal in the 30th minute, and Akram Afif netted the third goal in the 37th minute.
In the second half, Al Wasl players attempted to reduce the deficit, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
