The first half began with Al Wasl's pressure from the start, and the most dangerous scoring attempt came from Nicolas Gimenez in the 21st minute from a free kick, which was saved by the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Mehdi Ghayedi put Kalba ahead from a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
Al Wasl’s response came quickly, and Gimenez almost scored the equalizer, but his shot passed beside Kalba’s goalpost in the 70th minute.
