Al Wasl’s first football team held their final training session at Zabeel Stadium this evening in preparation for tomorrow’s match against Al Sadd of Qatar, scheduled for 6 PM UAE time as part of the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite.
In the pre-match press conference, our head coach Milos Milojevic discussed the team’s preparations, saying, “Yes, it’s an important match for both teams. We know the quality of Al Sadd’s players and the skill they possess. Al Sadd has good players, but on the other hand, we believe that if we give our best in front of our fans, we can perform well for the full ninety minutes and achieve a positive result.”
He added, “It’s great that all players are available for this match, which makes it difficult for me to choose the starting lineup and the players who will join the squad.”
He concluded, “I hope many fans will come to support us, cheer on the players, and help us try to achieve a positive result for us, for UAE football, and for everyone in the country.”
Player Nicolás Jiménez also spoke about the match, describing it as challenging and affirming the readiness of the “Emperor” players, noting that they understand the opponent’s playing style.
“We will try our utmost to secure victory and dedicate the three points to our fans. I hope we finish the match with a win and in the way we envision,” he added.
