Al Wasl's first football team has completed its preparations for tomorrow's match against Al Sadd of Qatar in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League. The match will take place at Zabeel Stadium at 10:00 PM.
In the pre-match press conference, head coach Milos Milićevic discussed the importance of the game, stating: "Tomorrow's match is very important, and as I tell the players, all matches until the end of the season in all competitions will feel like finals for us, because we have the responsibility to finish the season in the best possible way across all competitions." He added, "We know Al Sadd, we've played against them twice, they are a very strong and organized team." He concluded his remarks by emphasizing, "We represent UAE football, and I always ask the players to realize that when playing in international competitions, we don't just represent Al Wasl, but also the UAE, which makes the responsibility even greater."
Player Alexis Pérez also highlighted the significance of the match, saying: "Our team is highly motivated, and we are preparing for an important game at this stage of the season. We have tough matches ahead, and this one is among the most difficult. As the coach said, we are fully committed to fighting for every opportunity to reach the final."

He praised Al Sadd's strength, stating that defeating them would not be easy, but the goal is to qualify for the final. To achieve this, he emphasized the need to perform at their best and stay fully focused to secure a victory.
