At Zabeel Stadium, Al Wasl achieved a valuable victory over Baniyas in the first leg of the ADIB Cup quarterfinals, with a score of 3-1.

The first half started cautiously from both teams, and Adama Diallo succeeded in scoring Al Wasl's first goal in the 36th minute after following up a header by Japanese Takashi Uchino, which was saved by the goalkeeper but returned to him, and he placed it into Baniyas's net.

In the second half, Jonatas Santos scored Al Wasl’s second goal in the 46th minute, and Korean Seunghyun Jung confirmed Al Wasl's dominance with the third goal in the 62nd minute with a beautiful header.

Baniyas reduced the deficit through Lazar Markovic in the 92nd minute.
