Al Wasl's first football team departed for Uzbekistan this morning in anticipation of their Tomorrow's (Tuesday) encounter against Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan in the 2024–2025 AFC Champions League Elite's first round of league play for teams on the West Continent.
The Emperor players finished their preparation in Zabeel the day before they left, and they will have a quick training session the day after they get to Tashkent, 24 hours before the match, which takes place at JAR Stadium in Tashkent.
Al Wasl will face tough matches in the tournament, playing away games against Pakhtakor, Qatar's Al Gharafa, Iraq's Al Shorta, and Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr. Meanwhile, they will host Saudi teams Al Ahli and Al Hilal, as well as Qatar's Al Sadd and Al Rayyan at their home stadium.
