In the eighth and final round of the league stage, West Zone, of the AFC Champions League Elite for the 2024-2025 season, and at Zabeel Stadium, Al Wasl lost to its guest Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia by two goals to nil.

Al Wasl started the match strongly and had a chance to score through Caio Canedo, whose shot hit the crossbar in the second minute. The crossbar once again denied a shot from Fabio Lima in the fifth minute.

Brazilian Marcos Leonardo scored the first goal for Al Hilal in the thirteenth minute.

In the second half, Salem Al-Dawsari scored Al Hilal's second goal in the forty-ninth minute.

With this result, Al Wasl ranks fifth in the group standings with eleven points and will face Al Sadd of Qatar in the Round of Sixteen.
