Al Wasl Sports Club, in cooperation with Tadawi Medical Group, has inaugurated the first fully-integrated medical center licensed by the Dubai Health Authority within a sports club. This pioneering step aims to provide specialized and rapid healthcare for players, offering sports medicine, emergency services, and general medical care according to the highest standards.
Abdulnasser Al Shamsi, CEO of Al Wasl Club, confirmed that the opening of this center is part of the club’s strategy to provide the best services for its players and ensure a healthy environment that supports their athletic performance and maintains their health and safety.
Al Shamsi said:
“We are proud of our partnership with Tadawi Healthcare Group to establish a fully-integrated medical center at Al Wasl Club. It will contribute to providing optimal healthcare for our players, speed up diagnosis and treatment in record time, enhance their physical readiness, and reduce injury complications.”
For his part, H.E. Marwan Ibrahim Haji Nasser, Chairman and CEO of Tadawi Healthcare Group, stated that the Tadawi Medical Center represents a qualitative leap in delivering specialized medical services within sports clubs. It is the first medical center licensed by the Dubai Health Authority inside a sports club.
He added:
“The center offers high-quality medical services in accordance with the latest global standards. It includes medical and nursing staff specialized in sports medicine, sports injuries, orthopedics, and emergency medicine, in addition to general medicine services that will serve club members, players, and their families.”
Marwan Haji also pointed out that the new center “is equipped with the latest medical devices and features advanced treatment rooms, as well as a physiotherapy and rehabilitation center, making it a valuable addition to the healthcare sector within Dubai’s sports clubs.”
He continued:
“The center operates around the clock and can accommodate up to 50 patients per day. It is also connected to Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to ensure the transfer of critical cases to Tadawi Hospital in Dubai.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Dejan Jovanovic, a sports medicine specialist at the center, emphasized the importance of having such a high-level medical facility inside a sports club. He said:
“The center will provide immediate medical care to players, helping to improve their athletic performance and reduce health risks.”
He added:
“Tadawi Medical Center will offer its services to club members, players’ families, and the technical and administrative staff, making it a comprehensive health center that serves the sports community.”
He continued:
“The center includes a dedicated database for storing players’ medical records, which is linked to the main Tadawi Hospital system. This service represents a significant advancement, offering injured or rehabilitating players the opportunity to visit the center at their convenience throughout the week. It also provides Al Wasl Academy management, coaches, and administrators the chance to directly oversee players undergoing rehabilitation in collaboration with the medical staff.”
