Al Wasl leaves AG Cup against Shabab Al Ahli

Al Wasl bid farewell to the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup against Shabab Al Ahli, after losing (5-1 on aggregate), in the match that was held Tuesday evening, at Rashid Stadium.

The emperor started the match with a defensive reserve, in an attempt to absorb the enthusiasm of the home team, but in the 11th minute Shabab Al Ahli surprised Al Wasl, with an early goal through Federico Cartabia's header, taking advantage of a mistake in the team's defensive positioning.

The match was limited in the middle of the field and the two teams did not pose a real danger to the two goals, a missile shot from Abdulrahman Ali, in the penalty area, almost went into the net in the 25th minute, but Majid Nasser turned it into a corner kick with difficulty.

In the 42nd minute, Odair Hellmann made a forced change by entering Abdulrahman Saleh, instead of Abdulrahman Ali, who was injured.

The first half ended with SShabab Al Ahli advancing with a goal to none.

At the start of the second half in the 52nd minute, Federico Cartabia succeeded in adding the second goal for him and his team to make it difficult for the yellow team, to push Hillman with three substitutions at once in the 59th minute, with the entry of Nasser Mahmoud, Habbouch Saleh, and Nicolas Oroz, at the expense of Ali Saleh, Ronaldo Mendes and Hassan Ibrahim to restore the vitality of the team.

But in the 63rd minute, Shabab Al Ahli scored the third goal of the match through Igor Jesus.

In the 71st minute, Fabio Lima narrowed the difference after scoring the first goal for the team from a penalty kick.

Hellmann pushed Luiz Henrique instead of Joao Figredo, in the 77th minute, to end the match with Shabab Al Ahli's 3-1 victory.
