Hellmann leads the “EMPEROR” until 2022

Al Wasl Football Company has officially concluded a contract with the Brazilian Odair Hellmann to lead the first team, until June 2022, after the national coach Salem Rabie.

The 43-year-old coach, who is scheduled to take over the squad against Al Jazira, in the tenth round next Thursday, he choached several Brazilian clubs, most notably Fluminense team, he took over at the end of 2019, and played 50 matches, winning in 24, lost in 14, and tied in 12 matches, in addition winning the Rio Cup title this year, as well as winning the Karaoke championship, before leaving the team while he was in fifth place in the Brazilian League with 39 points.

the Brazilian coach expressed his great happiness for leading one of the best teams in the UAE and Asia, stressing that he did not hesitate to accept the mission due to the club's long history and a board of directors that works professionally .

He said: I realize how big the challenge I face, by leading a club that has the largest fan base in the country. My goal is to build a team capable of regaining glory and returning to the podiums.

Odair Hellmann: the presence of Brazilian players in the team is very wonderful, besides their high technical capabilities, they will have an influential role in communicating and delivering  his ideas to the rest of the players, which will develop the team's collective performance.

Odair Hellmann: I watched a number of Al Wasl matches, especially the last match against Sharjah, I praise the team’s performance, despite the final result was not what Al Wasl had hoped, received a goal in the last seconds, but the team didn’t deserve the loss.
