The Emperor crosses the Emirates with the goal of the Golden Boy in the opening of the season.
Al-Wasl succeeded in defeating the Emirates with an unanswered goal, in the match that was held at Zabeel Stadium, within the first-round matches of the ADNOC Professional League.
The match began with high pressure from the Emperor, to score an early goal that facilitated the course of the match, and he almost achieved this through Salem Al-Azizi, who was alone on goal, after a silky pass from Fabio de Lima, in the first minutes, but goalkeeper Ibrahim Al-Kaabi blocked it.
Al-Waslawi’s pressure continued for most of the first half, but without any real danger to the UAE’s goal.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Swiss Haris Seferovic was able to score the first goal of the match, but it was canceled due to offside.
Al-Wasl entered the second half more enthusiastic, and in the 64th minute, a pass from the right side from Fabio De Lima, to the one coming from behind, Ali Saleh, who deposited the ball into the net with one touch, announcing the first goal for the Zabeel Panthers.
The Emperor maintained his lead, and had more than one opportunity to score more goals, but a lack of success stood in the way, and the match ended with the Yellows winning 1-0.
