Al-Wasl sets a date with Shabab Al-Ahly in the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup

Al Wasl succeeded in qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, after defeating Hatta in the first round with a score of 10-3 on aggregate.

The match started with high pressure by Al Wasl, scoring an early goal. In the 18th minute, Haris Seferovic opened the scoring with a powerful header against Hatta, taking advantage of a perfect cross from Amouri.

Not even two minutes had passed, and Amouri returned and played another perfect cross from the right side. The brilliant Adama Diallo received it skillfully and shot a powerful ball to the right of the goalkeeper, doubling the score for the Panthers in the 20th minute.

The Emperor took control of the midfield, and launched many attacks from all sides to increase the goals, but contrary to the course of the match, Arunchibola scored the first goal of Hatta, with a powerful header in the 40th minute, ending the first half with Al Wasl leading by two goals to one.

In the second half, the play was limited to the midfield between the two teams, and in the 72nd minute, the hosts succeeded in scoring the equalizing goal through Jamal Marouf, from a penalty kick. The Yellows then intensified its attempts to regain its lead in the match, but was unlucky.

In the 93rd minute, the hosts were able to add a third goal, but Al Wasl refused to lose and quickly scored the equalizing goal in the 96th minute through Swiss striker Haris Seferovic after a wonderful follow-up to Adama's pass.

The match ended in a 3-3 draw, and Al Wasl qualified for the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup to face Shabab Al Ahly.
