The derby match between Shabab Al Ahli and Al-Wasl concluded with an exciting 3-2 win for Al-Wasl in the first leg of the ADIB Cup quarter-finals at Rashid Stadium.

The game started with both teams engaged in an intense contest. Al-Wasl nearly took the lead in the 4th minute when Adama Diallo found himself with a clear chance on goal but failed to control the ball properly.

 

Shabab Al Ahli broke the deadlock in the 13th minute through Bogdan, quickly equalized by Al-Wasl in the 16th minute as Moroccan player Soufiane Bouftini headed in a cross from Gimenez past Hassan Hamza.

 

Most of the first half saw midfield dominance shared between the two teams.

 

Ganiev put the home team ahead in the 54th minute with a goal from outside the penalty area.

 

Adama Diallo showcased skill in the 81st minute, maneuvering through players and striking a powerful shot that deflected off a Shabab Al Ahli defender, finding the net for the home team.

 

Al-Wasl staged a comeback in the 87th minute, securing a decisive goal through Fabio De Lima, following Gimenez’s cross. The match concluded with a deserved victory for the yellow team.
