Al Wasl Comes back with a draw at the 90th minute

Al Wasl tied against its host Fujairah, 1-1 on Thursday evening, in the match that was held between them at Fujairah Stadium, in the 20th round of the Arabian Gulf League.

The match started with a quiet start between the two teams and the game was confined to the middle of the field, in the 24th minute with of a wonderful individual effort by Ali Saleh, Al Wasl almost opened the scoring in the match after the "golden boy" skilfully passed by the Fujairah defenders, to shoot a ball that passed next to the left post of the goalkeeper. The emperor dominated the course of the match and was close to score the first goal in the 29th minute of a quick counterattack, which ended with a powerful correction from Fabio de Lima, but Tamimi deflected the ball and turned it into a corner.

In the 39th minute, surprisingly, the home team managed to score the first goal in the match, through Firas Al Arabi, who took advantage of a mistake in the defensive positioning of the yellow team, and hit a ball to the left of goalkeeper Hamid Abdullah.

Al Wasl intensified his attempts to equalize the score, but did not succeed in breaking through Fujairah defense, to end the first half with the emperor being late with a goal without a response.

The beginning of the second half did not differ much from the start of the match, so coach Odair Hellmann pushed Nasir Nour, instead of Hassan Ibrahim, to increase the attacking intensity of the team in the 57th minute.

In the 65th minute, a perfect cross from Natan Felipe, at the head of Ali Saleh, but it passed in front of the goal without finding a follow, in the 67th minute, the Brazilian Hugelo Neris got the red card after he pushed the Fujairah striker, who was almost alone to the goal, the emperor continued the match with ten players.

In the 77th minute, the young Brazilian Luiz Henrique participated, at the expense of his compatriot Ronaldo Mendes, followed by two substitutions, which paid one in the 86th minute, with the entry of Mohamed Al Akbari, Chehab Lashkry, instead of Abdulrahman Saleh and Natan Felipe, in another attempt by coach Odair Hellmann, to penetrate the defense of the home team and score an equalizer.

In the 88th minute, Fabio de Lima almost scored the equalizer, but Fujairah defender saved the ball from the goal line, but the referee awarded a penalty in favor of Al Wasl, after returning to the “VAR” that showed the goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Tamimi obstructed to Fabio de Lima, so the captain Lima scored the equalizing goal in the 90th minute, to end the match in a 1-1 draw
