Al Wasl lost to Al Jazira in a thrilling match

Al Wasl lost to its host Al Jazira, by three goals to two, yesterday Saturday evening, in the match that was held between them at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, in the 23rd round of the Arabian Gulf League.

The match started with a quiet start without danger from the two teams, but with the 13th minute, Hueglo Neris scored an own goal after he turned Khalfan Mubarak's cross, from the left side, into Hamid Abdullah’s net.

In the 22nd minute, Ronaldo Mendes plays a perfect cross from the left, to Fabio de Lima, who did not hesitate to put the ball in the net of Ali Khasif, scoring the equalizer for the emperor.

Al Wasl dominated the course of the match after the equalizer, and intensified its attacks on Al Jazira, and in the 30th minute, after a collective play from the Waslawi team, it ended with a powerful shot from Mendes, but Ali Khasif blocked it.

In the 32nd minute, unlike the course of the match, Ali Mabkhout scored the second goal for the home team, but the referee canceled it for offside, before returning to the “VAR” that confirmed the goal.

The emperor tried to return to the match again, and besieged the home team in the last minutes of the the first half, in the 40th minute, a run from the Brazilian defender Neris, who shot the ball from the middle of the field to the borders of Al Jazira penalty area to shoot a powerful ball, but it passed next to the left post, then Ali Salmin played, in the 44th minute, a wonderful long pass behind Al Jazira defenders reached Natan Felipe, who shot the ball in the net, but the referee cancels the goal for offside, to end the first half by delaying the emperor with two goals to one.

The emperor entered the second half with a strong desire to score the equalizer, and from the first seconds pressure on the home team, and in the 49th minute Joao Figueiredo scored the equalizer, but once again the referee canceled the goal for offside, to keep the result with the Al Jazira advancing with two goals to one.

In the 65th minute, Ali Saleh entered, instead of Hassan Ibrahim, to activate the offensive side of the team, before the magician Fabio de Lima scored the second goal for Yellows, after Ali Salmin's perfect cross, so that the emperor tied in the match, before Al Jazira come back again in Scoring the wining goal, from a free kick by Kosanovic, in the 69th minute.

The coach, Odair Hellmann, pushed the young Brazilian, Luiz Henrique, in the 80th minute to take advantage of his vitality and speed in the last minutes of the match, at the expense of Ronaldo Mendes.

In the 85th minute, Fabio de Lima, wasted a goal opportunity in front of the net, after dodging more than one defender, but he hit the ball on the left post, so that the ball came out to a goal kick.

Hellmann, threw all the cards in the match after pushing Muhammad Al Akbri and Nasser Mahmoud, at the expense of Nicolas Oroz, Natan Felipe, in a final attempt to score the equalizer, but the match ended with the emperor losing 3-2.
