The Emperor defeats Al Dhafra 1-0
Al Wasl scored a difficult victory over Al Dhafra 1-0 in the match that was held at Za’abeel Stadium, as part of the 23rd round of the ADNOC Pro League.
The first half was average, and the two teams did not pose a real threat to the two goals, although Al-Wasl was more possessive and in pursuit of scoring, while Al Dhafra relied on the defense of the area, trying to kidnap a goal from a counterattack, or a fixed ball. But the emperor refused to finish the first half of the match without goals, and managed to shake the guest net, through Uruguayan Michel Araujo, after a wonderful follow-up to the Brazilian Oliveira's header, which bounced from goalkeeper Khaled Al-Sanani in the 45th minute.
In the second half, Al-Wasl tightened its grip on the match, and launched more than one dangerous attack, but the players did not take advantage of the opportunities that were available to them. The yellows control of the midfield continued until the end of the meeting, which ended with a goal without a response.
