The "EMPEROR" refuses to lose the clasico

The 3-3 draw was decided in the El Clasico match between Al Ain and Wasl in the match hosted by Hazaa Bin Zayed Stadium, in the quarter-finals of the Pro League Cup.

Al Wasl started the perfect start playing fiercely and pressed my defenders from the first minutes, and almost opened the scoring early through the jewel of the emperor returning from injury Fabio de Lima, after receiving a neat cross from Abdallah Khamis from the left side around in the direction of the goal, but goalkeeper Khaled Issa saves the ball from the goal line.

The yellow team grabbed the ball and increased the pace of the game and showed a desire to take precedence, and had what it wanted in the 5th minute after Michel Araujo managed to follow the shot of William Pottker, and deposited the ball into the net.

Ten minutes later, the two teams shared control of the midfield but without real danger to the goalkeepers, until the owners managed to score the equaliser in the 19th minute through striker Lapa Kudjo, after defender Abdullah Khamis blocked Sufyan Rahimi.

In the 31st minute, Caio Canido led a quick rebound from the right and played a cross to the back of Lapa Kudjo, putting the ball into the net, announcing the second goal for the home side.

The performance dropped slightly as the two teams relied on counterattacks, but in the 43rd minute Al Wasl was able to equalise through the brilliant Araujo, who followed up Pottker"s shot for the second time during the match.

The fans thought the first half was heading for a draw, but at the last minute Caio Canido was able to score the third goal for the home side after taking advantage of the wrong positioning of the wasl defenders.

The second half the emperor tried to modify the result but the home team closed the spaces in front of the Waslawi team, so the coach Odair Hellmann, entred Abdulrahman Saleh, at the expense of Abdallah Khamis in the 78th minute, followed by another substitution to enter Habush Saleh instead of Salem Azizi in the 82nd minute, and then a third substitute in the 86th minute with the participation of young Brazilian Luiz Henrique at the expense of his compatriot William Pottker to increase the offensive aspect of the team.

In the 93rd minute before the whistle of the referee Michel Araujo scored his third hat-trick to tie the emperor and end the thrilling match with a 3-3 draw.
