Al Wasl’s first football team held its final training session in preparation for their match against Qatar’s Al Sadd tomorrow at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha. The match, part of the second leg of the AFC Champions League Elite Round of 16 for the 2024-2025 season, will take place at 10:00 PM UAE time.

Before the match, head coach Milos Milojević spoke at the pre-match press conference, saying:
"We are facing Al Sadd once again; this is our fourth encounter this season, and we know them well."

He continued:"I believe that a team with great enthusiasm and the desire to win, despite Al Sadd having the advantage of playing at home in front of their fans, can qualify for the next stage."

He concluded:"I think we have trained and prepared well, and I am confident that the players will be at their peak readiness for the match. I believe in our ability to advance in the tournament."
For his part, Al Wasl player Fabio Lima also spoke about the upcoming match against Al Sadd, saying:"Al Sadd is a very strong team. We have played against them three times, winning once and drawing twice. Tomorrow, we will give our all to secure victory, and we have what it takes to win here."

He added:"We know the match will be played on their home ground and in front of their fans, but we are here to deliver a strong performance and qualify for the next round."

He concluded:"Our fans always stand by us and support us. We must give 100% of our effort to qualify for them."
