Al Wasl lost the fifth-round match of  ADNOC Pro League, held at Zabeel Stadium, to Khorfakkan with a score of 3-4.

Alexis Perez scored for Al Wasl with a powerful direct shot from outside the penalty area in the 15th minute, and Omar Keita equalized in the 19th minute. Then, Nicolas Gimenez scored the second goal for Al Wasl in the 22nd minute. Khorfakkan defender Abdulla Al Refaey mistakenly scored an own goal in the 37th minute, giving Al Wasl their third goal.

In the second half, Pedro Javier Pavlov scored for Khorfakkan in the 62nd minute, followed by Mattheus De Andrade's third goal in the 68th minute. Saeed Ahmed Abdulla scored the fourth goal for Khorfakkan in the 81st minute.
