Al Wasl lost 0-2 to its guest Al Ahli SaudiFC in the match played today at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai, as part of the second round of the group stage in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-2025 (West Zone).

Al Ahli’s goals were scored by Algerian Riyad Mahrez in the 3rd minute and Brazilian Roger Ibanez in the 38th minute.

Al Wasl had previously won its first-round match against Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan 1-0 in Tashkent.

In the second half, coach Milos made tactical substitutions, bringing on Siaka Sidibe, Adama Diallo, and Abdulrahman Saleh in place of N'Guessan Kouadio, Alexis Pérez, and Haris Seferovic. Al Wasl pressed towards Al Ahli's goal, creating several chances, but luck was not on their side.

Al Wasl will face Al Gharafa in the third round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League Elite at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar on Tuesday, October 22nd.
